Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg ground beef/mutton
- 1 medium onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 cup packaged bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 chopped green chilies
Method:
- Place the ground beef/mutton in a large bowl and add the onion, parsley, bread crumbs, oregano leaves, egg, milk, vinegar, tomato paste, green chilies and sauces; mix well.
- Store in refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap, for at least 2 hours.
- Divide the mixture into evenly sized portions; shape each portion into a burger patty about 3/4 inch thick.
- Place burger patties on a preheated lightly oiled barbecue grill or grilling pan.
- Cook over a high heat for 4 minutes each side or untill well browned and cooked through.
- Serve with salad and chutney.
