This recipe has a very low difficulty level and is perfect for people learning their way around the kitchen. Even if the recipe is not strictly followed, the end result is delicious and quite presentable.
Homemade Pancakes

Ingredients:


  • 250gm Plain Flour

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 3 tbsp Castor Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  • 250ml Milk

  • 2 Eggs

  • 50gm Butter

Method:


  1. Mix the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl.

  2. Beat the eggs and mix with milk.

  3. Melt the butter and pour with the milk mixture into the bowl containing flour.

  4. Whisk well so that no lumps are formed.

  5. Heat a flat non-stick pan on medium heat.

  6. Lightly brush the pan with oil or butter.

  7. Pour a small portion of the pancake mixture into the pan.

  8. Make sure its even and thin.

  9. Heat until it becomes slightly solid.

  10. Lift the pancake from one edge and see if it has turned golden.

  11. Slip a flat knife or spatula under the pancake and flip it over.

  12. Make five or six pancakes and stack them together to serve.




Serving Suggestions:
You can use golden or maple syrup with the pancakes. The stack can even be topped with a scoop of icecream.

Cook's Tip:
If you'd like to make thicker pancakes, pour a larger quantity of mixture into the pan and then cover from the top to help the pancake cook quickly from the top without burning the underside.
