A favorite that knows no boundaries. Traditionally, its one of the most difficult recipes to prepare because of complex ingredients and quantities. This recipe uses a biryani masala, which makes preparation considerably easier and saves time.
Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:
  • 4 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1tsp Ginger/Garlic paste
  • 1 Packet shaan/national biryani masala
  • 1 Cup yogurt
  • Oil for cooking

Method:

Masala Preparation


  1. Heat oil and fry onion.

  2. When golden brown take it out of the pan.

  3. Let the onion cool down for 2-3 min.

  4. Meanwhile, add chicken in the oil and fry it.

  5. Put ginger/garlic paste and fry till its golden brown.

  6. Now put the onions, tomatoes and yoghurt in the blender and mix.

  7. Put the blended mixture in the chicken.

  8. Add your preferred biryani masala while stirring.

  9. Cook till its tender.
  10. Final Touches

  11. Boil Rice.

  12. In a large pot, place alternating layers of rice and chicken masala.

  13. Mix the layers while moving the biryani from pot to serving dish.

  14. Serve with raita (mint yoghurt).
